Community impact has always been at the center of who I am and the work I do. Through nonprofit initiatives, mentorship, leadership, and platforms like #KickballBAE, Dr. Cheley remains committed to creating spaces that uplift, connect, and inspire others.
Opportunities Make Destinies, Inc.
Opportunities Make Destinies, Inc. (OMD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in remembrance of a close family member and veteran whose life was lost to suicide. What began through personal loss became a purpose-driven mission centered around helping others facing difficult life circumstances.
OMD is committed to supporting vulnerable communities by helping create pathways to housing, stability, empowerment, and opportunity. With a heart for service and community impact, the organization continues working toward initiatives that uplift individuals and families while creating spaces rooted in compassion, support, and hope.

Homeless Statistics & Demographics
40-60% of homeless individuals are employed, and/or receive social security, but unfortunately are still unable to afford housing
Home prices increased by 1.1% in 2023, 4% in 2024, and is expected to increase by 3.7%
Shortage of housing is mostly impacting low and middle income households
According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) those individuals are now classified as "cost-burdened"
#KickballBAE
#KickballBAE started from a love of competitive kickball and evolved into a platform centered around culture, networking, positive energy, and community connection. You don’t have to play kickball to be a #KickballBAE — it’s about the energy, support, and impact you bring into the spaces around you.
BAE can represent different things depending on who you are, including Black And Education, Business And Entrepreneurship, Beauty And Excellence, and more. At its core, #KickballBAE is about bringing people together and creating moments that inspire connection, positivity, and community both on and off the field.

The Winners Circle Podcast
Beyond kickball, Dr. Cheley serves as a cohost on The Winners Circle Podcast that is streamed live on Facebook, alongside, owner of Turf Wars, and founder of Legacy Sports. The podcast brings together conversations around sports culture, leadership, community, and life beyond the game.
As the third cohost, Dr. Cheley leads the business segment, where she shares insight on entrepreneurship, leadership, branding, and community impact. What makes the platform even more meaningful is its connection to veterans, community engagement, and the relationships built through competitive kickball and sports culture.
